SHILLONG: Two minor girls were allegedly murdered by unknown miscreants in two different incidents raising eyebrows yet again on the safety of minors in the state.
The first incident was reported from South West Khasi Hills where the body of a minor girl (8) who went missing on February 11 was found with multiple injuries from Rajaju Coal Quarry.
The parents of the minor have registered a complaint in this regard at Ranikor Police Station.In another case, a minor girl (7) was allegedly murdered by unknown miscreants at her residence in the absence of her parents at Tikrikilla.
Nokma of Bollonggitok village (WGH), Jackson Sangma has lodged a complaint in this regard at Tikrikilla Police Station on February 11.
Abduction of minors is also on the rise. In one such case, one Edward Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura police station that on February 10 at around 9 pm his driver Babu Hussain abducted his minor maidservant (15) in a Tata Sumo vehicle (AS-01CC-4750) from Spring Hill, Tura West Garo Hills. The fate of the minor is yet to be known.
