Murder/attempted murder

* Preenithson Sangma lodged a complaint at Kharkutta OP alleging that his daughter Annoritha Arengh was murdered by her husband Sengdilberth Marak and two others, Skolline Arengh and Allina Arengh, in her residence at Chibongga village (NGH).
* Police arrested on Wilande Lamare (35) regarding an attempt to murder a woman (40 years) in a jungle near ARC Firing Range, Madanrting, Shillong.

Accidental death

On February  17 at around 11:00am, one Muniram (45) fell down from a four-storied building at Lumjingsuk, Madanrting, Shillong, where he was working. He was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Theft/fraud

* On February 17 at around 1:00am, unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1,70,000 and gold ornaments from Gurumang Lama and his associates at MUDA parking lot, Mawlonghat, Shillong.
* Jerry Thangkhiew lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that between February 14-15, 2014, unknown miscreants fraudulently withdrew Rs 20,000  from his account through an ATM booth near NEEPCO, Shillong.
* On February  15 at around 2:00am, unknown miscreants stole 33 batteries belonging to M/s Airtel Telecommunication from a tower at Umtyra (EJH).
* On February 6, unknown miscreants stole five drums of bitumen valued at around Rs 47,500 from Ratacherra village (EJH).

Assault

D Warjri lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on February 15 at about 6:30pm, one Pynshngain Swer, President of Synjuk Ki Seng Samla Umthlong, assaulted her and her husband Kmum Sing Mylliem Umlong in her residence at Mawlai Umthlong, Shillong.

Molestation

On February  8 at around 10:30pm, one Nah Jyrwa and Bahnah Jyrwa allegedly molested a woman at Jakrem (SWKH). When another woman raised an alarm, the accused threatened them with dire consequences.
