Bangladeshi national held

On March 2 at about 2:30 pm, during vehicle checking at Ratacherra (EJH), police arrested one Bangladesh national Md. Sabuddin (21).

Threat case

lSmek Myrboh lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on March 1 around 11 am, during the Durbar of Lumkseh village (EKH), one Rangdamut Kharmalki and his accomplices, threatened the Myntris of the Durbar and also robbed them of Rs. 500.

lOn February 28 around 9 pm three persons Ton Lamare, John Lamare, Alex Lamare and four others broke into the house of Merika Hinge at Nangbah village (WJH) and threatened her with dire consequences.

lManda Kurbah lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on February 27 and 28, her brother Korim Kurbah threatened her with dire consequences at Mawlung Rim, Mawmih (EKH).

Theft

lOn March 1 at about 12 noon, Security Staff of NEHU, Campus, Mawlai, Shillong caught red-handed one Raju Dorji, while he was stealing four steel water taps from the Campus. Police arrested the accused.

lOn February 28 around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08D-0221) belonging to Denish M Momin from Rongkhon, Songgital (WGH).

Death

On March 1, Ronick Sadon (50) collapsed in his compound at Jaiaw Laitdom, Shillong and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, where the MO on duty declared him brought dead.

Body recovered

lOn March 1, one unidentified male body was found hanging from a tree at Wahsiej, Kuliang (EJH).

lOn February 28, the body of a male baby which was wrapped in a towel was recovered from Gambegre village (WGH).

Trespassing

Agnes Kharshiing, President, CSWO lodged a complaint at Mawsynram PS that on February 28, one DS Rai of NEEPCO instigated the staff of M/s Infratech, Gurgaon to trespass into the land of the local people at Thieddieng village (EKH), thereby damaged the plantation and also stole large quantity of minerals.

Damage to property

Iehbha Phawa lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on February 17 at about 2:30 am, unknown miscreants set fire to the School cum Community Hall of Khliehphyrngap village (WJH). As a result, the Hall was gutted. Loss of property is estimated around Rs. 20,82,600.

Assault

Abdul Muquit lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on March 1 at about 10 am, two persons, viz., Md. Humayun, Mohan along with their accomplices assaulted him, his wife and his employees at Glory’s Plaza, Police Bazar, Shillong and forcibly snatched the key of the shop.

Shop ransacked

Ashraf Hussain lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on March 1, one Altaf Hussain along with his accomplices forcibly entered his shop No. DF-2 at Glory’s Plaza, Police Bazar, Shillong. Later, one Abdul Muquit and his wife opened the cash box.
