Student from Nagaland found dead in New Delhi

New Delhi: A 20-year old student of Delhi University from Nagaland was on Monday found dead at his residence in Munirka area of south Delhi. Police said that as per preliminary investigation, the deceased, identified as Mariwibo who hailed from Nagaland, adding appearently died of breathlessness.

They said the incident came to light this morning when Mariwibo’s roommate woke up and found him lying in an unconscious condition. “Sensing that something has gone wrong, Mariwibo was immediately rushed to nearby Safdarjung Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” said a senior police officer.

According to police, Mariwibo was suffering from breathing problem. On Sunday’s evening, he also complained of breathing problem.

Police, however, ruled out any foul play. “Police are awaiting his postmortem report to ascertain the exact cause of his death,” officer added. (PTI)
