‘Shillong an ideal B’wood shooting destination’

Actress Ameesha Patel has suggested that the Bollywood Film industry should visit North East including Shillong for shooting of their films rather than going to foreign locations.

Speaking to a group of reporters during the concluding ceremony of the National Panorama Festival Ameesha Patel said, “There is so much beauty in North East and I think that instead of shooting in France, Italy we should shoot here.”

Stating that she would like Meghalaya people to be part of Bollywood industry Ameesha Patel who worked in super hit films like Kaho Na Pyaar hai, Race 2, Short Cut Romeo, Hey Baby, Gadar and other was also impressed with the local bands who performed during the concluding ceremony.

She felt that the Bollywood industry can find great musicians and great actors from the North Eastern region.

Definitely I would like to integrate the North East culture with the Mumbai culture,” she said.

Earlier, she was felicitated by I&PR Minister AL Hek at the venue among the thunderous clapping of hundreds of fans who gathered at U Soso Tham auditorium to have a glimpse of their favourite stars.

During the four day festival, many workshops on film making were held besides many films were screened in the city.
