SHILLONG: Police have arrested two persons in connection with the murder of an accountant at Lad Shyiap, Golflink on February 17 last.
SP (City) Vivek Syiem told reporters Akhilesh Kumar Rai and Bikash Kumar Rai were arrested by police on Monday night. Police are yet to arrest one more accused who had fled to Bihar.
It may be mentioned that on February 17 police recovered the body on one Amarson Nongkynrih from a drain near Lad Shyiap.
Nongkynrih, an accountant in Rani Motors and Shillong Municipal Board, was robbed before being killed by the duo, Syiem added.
