SHILLONG: Mylliem dominated Malki and came away with a 5-0 victory in their U-14 Football Tournament match, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, at Second Ground, Polo, on Wednesday.
Banpyntngenlang Khurkalang recorded a hat-trick with goals in the eighth, 24th and 34th minutes.
Meshanboklang Khongrymmai opened the scoring in the fourth minute, while Arkynstar Kharbuki scored the last of the five goals in the 36th with a fine header.
This was the last of the first round of group matches.
Royal Wahingdoh finished on top of Cluster I, with Nangkiew Irat in second.
Despite their defeat on Tuesday, Mawryngkneng were the best team from Cluster II, with Mawkhar close behind.
Mylliem finished ahead of Rangdajied United in Cluster III, while Smit topped Shillong Lajong in Cluster IV.
Two teams from each cluster will now play in a quarterfinal league between the eight best sides.
Mylliem SC, Nangkiew Irat SC, Smit SC and Mawkhar SC have been clubbed in Group II, while Royal Wahingdoh FC, Rangdajied United FC, Mawryngkneng SC and Shillong Lajong FC are in Group I.
Each team will play three games in this round, with the top two teams qualifying for the knock-out semifinals, which will be held on March 24-25. The final will take place on March 29.
Wahingdoh and Rangdajied will face off in the first match on Friday at Second Ground at 4:00pm
