Arms recovered
On March 17, acting on inputs, Songsak Police arrested one Ambar R. Marak (23) and recovered one pistol along with six rounds of 7.65mm ammunitions from his possession.
Body recovered
On March 17 around 2.30 pm the body of Mc’Conel Wankhar (28) was found hanging in a bamboo grove at Nongkseh, Upper Shillong. Necessary formalities were observed and matter is under enquiry.
On March 17 around 12.25 am one unidentified male person (30/40 yrs) fell down from Bawri Complex at Luckier Road, Shillong. He was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong where he succumbed to injuries. Matter is under enquiry.
Assault/ looting
On March 16 around 6.45 pm unidentified miscreant assaulted Nityanand Kumar and looted Rs. 6,000 and one cell phone at Butcher Road, Shillong.
Attempted rape
On March 15 around 6.30 pm, one Ganesh Sutnga attempted to rape one girl at Shnongrim village (EJH).
Alleged flesh trade
On March 15, Albinus Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS against Hazel Challam alleging her involvement in prostitution and human trafficking at Nongrah, Dongktieh, Shillong.
