Junior Royals to play in South Africa

SHILLONG: The Royal Wahingdoh junior team will take part in a youth football tournament in South Africa from Monday.
The Future Champions tournament is an international competition drawing in teams from all over the world to battle against each other in Gauteng, South Africa.
The first tournament was held in 2009 as a precursor to the FIFA World Cup, which was hosted by South Africa in the following year.
Wahingdoh are in Group D of the four-group, 16-team competition, and have been clubbed with Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), USYSA Select (USA) and Sunderland FC (UK).
The junior Royals will first play USYSA on Monday, Sunderland on Tuesday and Mamelodi on Wednesday.
