Threat case
- Wilbe Samati of Nongjngi Iongwit village (WJH) lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on March 22 around 7 pm, her son namely Moon Samati demanded money from her. When she refused, he damaged the household articles and also threatened her with dire consequences.
- Lasting Pala, VDP Secretary of Umkiang lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on March 20 around 6 pm, one Public Syad (23) abused and threatened the VDP members with dire consequences at Umkiang village (EJH). Matter is under enquiry.
- Phrangteng Suting lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that her son viz., Donbok Suting demanded money and also threatened her and her husband with dire consequences in their residence at Mawlai Mawtawar, Shillong.
Damage to property
- The Headman of Sohphoh village lodged a complaint at Umroi PIC that on March 21 around 12:20 pm, the villagers of Mawsiatkhnam damaged the footpath of Sohphoh village (RB). Matter is under enquiry.
- Philip Abraham, Principal, Loyola College, Williamnagar (EGH) lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that on Mar 15, unknown miscreants defaced the college boundary wall by depicting undesirable figures.
Vehicle missing
On the night of March 21, one Bolero Camper (ML-05K-7669) belonging to Pramod Prasad was found missing from his residence at Upper Mawprem, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
Breach of trust
Rajesh Jatia lodged a complaint at Tura PS that one Nitai Saha who was working as a Manager in a bridge construction site at Gandrak Dare (WGH), suddenly disappeared from the construction site without submitting the account on stock and utilization of materials, resulting in breach of trust involving Rs. 15 lakhs.
Illegal construction
Dsir Shon Thangkhiew lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that one Atiar Thangkhiew and Arvita Lyngdoh forcibly constructed a road and illegally sold a portion of the ancestral land belonging to the Thangkhiew Laikpoh clan at Langlibun and Nongmasi (EKH). The accused persons also attempted to donate the land to PWD for construction of Mawlai By-pass road, even after the Court had passed an order to maintain status quo.
Abuse
A girl lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that her step-father and her mother abused her physically and mentally since 2007 till March 18. She alleged that her step father used to molest her.
