SHILLONG: Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), Raliang circle, has issued a statement alleging UDP Lok Sabha candidate from Shillong seat, Paul Lyngdoh, of anti- state activities and urged the people to think before voting for Lyngdoh.
HNYF publicity secretary Nicky Sten alleged that Lyngdoh, in his capacity as Urban Affairs Minister, had leased out the premises of MUDA office to a private business establishment for a long period of thirty years which, according to them, was in violation of Meghalaya Land Regulation Act.
The group also said that Lyngdoh was the first MLA to defect from the Donkupar Roy-led MPA Government, adding “the defection clearly reflects that he is concerned more with personal interests than anything else.”
When contacted, the UDP candidate refused to comment on the allegations.
