10 candidates to contest for Outer Manipur, five so far for Inner Manipur

IMPHAL: Ten candidates including a woman will be in fray for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency (ST) election scheduled .
For the Inner Manipur Parliamentary seat so far five nomination papers including a woman have so far filed nomination papers. Manipur will witness polls on April 9 (Outer Manipur) and April 17 (Inner Manipur).
Both the seats are now held by Congress and both the sitting MPs will be contesting .
. Last date for the withdrawal is March 26 and the numbers of candidates will be known on Wednesday.
For Inner Manipur so far five candidates have filed nomination papers and the numbers may increase as tomorrow is the last date for filing of nomination papers.
In Outer and Inner Manipur, MPP has decided to support the BJP candidates. (UNI)
