A national seminar on Diaspora and Folklore: Exploring the changing dimension of folklore in tribal diaspora will be organised by the Department of Cultural and Creative Studies, NEHU in collaboration with  Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute  of Asian Studies, Kolkata on March 27 and 28.

The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that all gun licence holders, as per the order issued by District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, are to deposit their arms in the local Police Station/Outpost in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election. All such licence holders are requested to deposit their license arms with police forthwith failing which legal action will be taken against them as per law.
