Demseiniong progress to invitational semis

SHILLONG: Demseiniong SC reached the semifinal round of the 1st Meghalaya Invitation Local Football Tournament, organised by the Pay For Right Youth and Cultural Club, by defeating Kynshi Solid Target in a tiebreaker at Malki Ground on Monday.

The quarterfinal was keenly contested by the two teams, who played some good football. The two sides were evenly matched, with full time ending 2-2. However, Demseiniong won the penalty shoot-out 5-3.

Tuesday’s last-eight match will be between Upper Lumparing Haphi Latei FC and Phlang Mawsyrpat Lade FC at 3:00pm.
