KSU to highlight failures of MUA-II
NONGPOH: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), North Khasi Hills District, will observe the Khasi National Awakening Day on Friday with a public procession starting at 2 pm from the KSU office at Mawdiangum to the MUDA Shopping Complex, Nongpoh, followed by a public meeting there, KSU district president Ferdynald K Kharkamni informed.
He said that the public meeting would focus on issues affecting the indigenous people of the State.
He also said that the Union would highlight the failure of the MUA-II Government in implementing the ILP in the State.
He said they will take up the issue of constant infringement by Assam in the territory of Meghalaya and the victimization of the Khasi people living in Block II areas by Assam now and then.
The KSU president said that they will touch on the failure of the government to develop and improve the education sector and the issue of mixed marriages and influx, besides other important issues concerning the State.
