SHILLONG: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly raping a woman and filming the act through a mobile phone at Syntu Ksiar, Jowai the district headquarter of West Jaintia Hills district on Sunday.
The arrested duo are Chanki Laloo (23) and Franky Suchiang (22). According to the complaint lodged by the victim, she was on her way from Myntdu to New Hill when she met one person along with his friend who offered her a lift in their vehicle (ML-04-5762). However, the driver forcibly took her to Syntu Ksiar, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills and raped her, while his friend took a video clip of the incident in his mobile. Police arrested the accused on Monday.
