SVEEP

The North Garo Hills District Election Office organised a kite flying competition on Tuesday at Resubelpara Mini Stadium under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation in which 73 voters participated. There was also a kite flying display and an LED kite flying show in the evening.

Dry day

The District Magistrate of North Garo Hills has declared dry day from April 7-9 and May 16 in the entire district in view of the Lok Sabha election. All IMFL retails shops including bonded warehouses will remain closed on the dates mentioned.

GSU election

The GSU Southern Zone, Baghmara, in a recently conducted election elected Chuba R Marak as president and Walbinath Ch Marak as general secretary, besides other members.

Postponed

The Ranikor Beach Festival which was scheduled to be held on April 7 and 8 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

Trekking

The Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI), Meghalaya Branch, will organize a local trekking on April 26 from Jan’iaw to Lawbah (8 km), in East Khasi Hills District. Participants can contact Youth Hostel, Shillong for details before April 21.

BSNL App

BSNL has launched ‘My BSNL App’ mobile- based bill payment solution for its customers. The application facilitates payment of phone bills and recharge of BSNL branded trust cards.
