Dry day

Deputy Commissioner (Excise) East Khasi hills has declared Dry day on April 7, 8, 9 and on May 16 in the entire district on account of the Lok Sabha elections. District Magistrates, East and West Jaintia Hills have also declared Dry Days on 7th, 8th and 9th April and 16th May in the entire District. All IMFL Licensed premises (whole sale and retail sale) Bars, canteens, country spirit shops including out-still shall remain closed on the above mentioned days.

Programme

Tourism Awareness Tour programmes for Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides was organised by the Indian Tourism on March 29 at Mawkdok, East Khasi Hills. Altogether 12 participants from 3 guide companies attended the programme.

Competition

Lawei Ka Ri SS&CC, Shillong will conduct the 9th open Meghalaya Carrom Board Competition 2014 from May 6 and the venue will be the indoor sports Hall, Mawdatbaki.

Puja

The Shri Shri Basanti Durga Puja Samiti is organising Shri Shri Basanti Durga Puja in Jail Road Puja Mandap from April 5 to 9. All are cordially invited.
