NPP supporters join Congress

SHILLONG: Around two thousand supporters of NPP led by John Kennedy T Sangma has disassociated themselves from the NPP and joined Indian National Congress.

District Congress Committee, West Garo Hills General Secretary GN Arengh in a statement said that the group of disgruntled party workers of NPP led by John Kennedy T Sangma had an emergent meeting on March 27.

He said that the members of NPP expressed their lack of faith in the leadership of PA Sangma due to his frequent changing of party and for his commitment for post poll alliance with BJP led NDA Government in centre.
