Demseiniong reach final

SHILLONG: Demseiniong SC progressed to the final of the 1st Meghalaya Invitation Local Football Tournament, organised by the Pay For Right Youth and Cultural Club, with a 3-1 victory over Phlang Mawsyrpat Lade FC at Malki Ground on Friday.
The first semifinal was a close contest, with neither side being able to take the lead in the first half.
However, come the second, Demseiniong scored three goals while Phlang Mawsyrpat were able to respond with just one, thus sealing the contest in the former’s favour.
With this victory, Demseiniong have booked their place in the final of the tournament, which will be held on April 12 at 2:00pm.
Who they will face will be decided when Khliehriat 7 Young Star and Nohron FC clash in the second semifinal at 3:00pm on Saturday.
