SHILLONG: Hoping to make the jump to the top of the table, Royal Wahingdoh FC will take on United Sikkim FC in a final round, second phase, Second Division I-League match in Aizawl on Saturday at 6:30pm.
When the two teams had met in the first phase, Wahingdoh had beaten the former top tier side 1-0.
The Royals seized a much needed win on Thursday (2-1 over Hindustan FC) and another victory on Saturday will see the Shillong outfit move to the top of the points table.
Wahingdoh currently have nine points from five games, while toppers Bhawanipore FC have 11 from five matches.
The Kolkatan club will not be in action on Saturday, so a victory by any margin will see the Royals go on top, even if temporarily.
In the other fixture of the day, fourth-placed Kalighat Milan Sangha will take on Hindustan FC at 3:30pm.
Both teams have four points each, but Kalighat have a game in hand.
