Unsocial Rangdajied

SHILLONG: Rangdajied United FC fans were left disappointed as their team lost 2-1 to Sporting Clube de Goa despite a last minute fight from the Blues here on Wednesday evening.
However, supporters of the club on social media were left in something akin to darkness as Rangdajied posted few updates of the game on their official Facebook page.
In today’s highly connected environment this left some fans disappointed and frustrated.
“As it was on Wednesday, I was working and could not attend the match,” self-confessed Rangdajied fan Joe Hynniewta said.
“Usually they are so good (with posting updates) but they were almost blank this time.”
The club does not have a website either, instead relying on a tie-up with a small football news site created by their absentee media manager, who is almost never in Shillong, even when RUFC host games at the JN Stadium.
Fans like Hynniewta will hope for something better from Rangdajied in their final two matches of the season.
The Blues will play Mohammedan Sporting on April 13 in Kolkata, before the second Shillong derby on April 21 against Shillong Lajong closes out their first I-League season.
