SHILLONG: 1st MLP and Tornado will clash in the final of the SCA Second Division Cricket League after winning their respective semifinal fixtures at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Monday.
In the first match, 1st MLP beat Youth Club by 62 runs.
Youth Club won the toss and chose to field first, with the decision appearing to go their way when they bowled the police out for just 100 runs in 20 overs.
Stillson Sangma made 21, while Kunal Dey took 4-12 in four overs.
In reply, however, Youth Club was skittled for one of the smallest totals this year, just 38 in 12.3 overs. Bilash Sinha bagged 3-8 in 3.3 overs.
The second semi saw Tornado overcome Matrisangha by 27 runs.
Electing to bat, Tornado made 102/5 in 16 overs. Joy produced 41 runs, while Ranjit claimed 2-27 in three overs.
Matrisangha were then dismissed for 75 in 13.4 overs. Shubham scored 20, while Joy bagged 3-9 in 1.4 overs.
Tornado and 1st MLP will now meet in the final on April 12.
