SHILLONG: Bhawanipore FC continued to be a thorn in Royal Wahingdoh’s flesh by retaking the lead of the 2nd Division I-League table on Monday in Aizawl.
Bhawanipore beat Kalighat Milan Sangha 4-1.
The Kolkatan club now have 14 points to Wahingdoh’s 12. These two teams are the only ones capable of topping the table and sealing a place in next year’s I-League.
Every team has played six games, with two to play.
The Royals will next be in action on Wednesday when they take on Kalighat at 7:45pm.
