Body recovered

On April 8 around 2.30 pm, BSF informed the police that an unidentified body was found lying at the International Border, Hat Thymmai (Naya Bazar) under Pynursla PS (EKH). Necessary action is being taken by the district police.

One found unconscious

On April 7 around 1.30 am, one unidentified person was found in a state of unconsciousness near Vishal Mart, Shillong, and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong. It is suspected that he was knocked down by some vehicle.

Theft

On April 7 at about 1.30 pm, Ebility Wahlang (22) stole one cell phone with SIM card belonging to Basilla Marak (30) from her shop at Nongstoin market (WKH).

On April 7 midnight, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero Camper vehicle (ML-10-9244) belonging to William Mynsong from 18th Mile, GS Road (RB).

Eladmiki Suting lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on April 7, unknown miscreants stole one Lenovo laptop computer valued around Rs.31,000, SBI ATM Card and cash Rs.2,500 from his residence at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

Vehicle abandoned Birju Shan lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on April 7, one truck (JK-06CA-5881) driven by Raju Das, left Green Valley Cement factory, Nongsning (EJH) for Aizawl, Mizoram, with 540 bags of cement. However, the truck was found abandoned empty at Lumshnong (EJH) and the driver is absconding.

Assault

On April 7 at around 11 pm, Hubertson Kharlukhi assaulted his wife at their residence at Nongrim Hills, Shillong. As a result, she sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Murder

On April 5, one Nuru Sheikh murdered Md. Sofikur Islam (25) at Bamondanga Bazar under Tikrikilla PS (WGH).
