Foetus recovered

On April 11, one foetus (5/6 months male) was recovered from a drain at Narsing Akhara, Qualapatty. The body was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for post mortem and is currently kept at the Civil Hospital Morgue room for identification.

Threat

On April 9 at around 5 pm, two persons, identified as Thringly Marwein and Krolstar K. Bani threatened the VDP members of Wahliewlong village West Khasi Hills with lethal weapons.

Theft

On the night of April 6, unknown miscreants stole one battery from a Machine No. RC/BC/36 belonging to M/s BSC C&C JV at By-pass-II, West Khasi Hills.

Complaint

TTC Marak, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, lodged a complaint on April 12 at Shillong Sadar police station against a local English daily for publishing his name in the alleged involvement in the missing of two files from Forest Department.
