Margao: Salgaocar will look for a win to boost their title hopes when they take on Sporting Cube Goa in a must-win situation in the 25th round of the I-League, here on Tuesday.
Salgaocar, who lost to Rangdajied United, bounced back in the reckoning after beating Pune FC in their last match and are placed second with 37 points from 22 matches, four points behind leaders Bengaluru FC.
They now need to win both their remaining games and see Bengaluru lose both of theirs if they are to win the title.
On the other hand, Sporting, who were in the fray for the title race until fairly recently, are out of the reckoning after they drew against Churchill Brothers in the last match to sit in fourth place with 33 points from 22 matches.
With two fixtures remaining, they are now looking to finish among the top five at the end of the season. (PTI)
