Abandoned newborn
A newborn baby, who was abandoned at Ganesh Das Hospital on March 15, is now under the protection of Lawei Baphyrnai, a specialized adoption agency. Any person having knowledge of the baby or its parents can contact Reach Shillong Ministries, Laitumkhrah.
Notice to law breakers
The headman cum deputy chairman of Jail Road Welfare Committee has issued a notice saying the committee will take strict action against hotels and residents who are resorting to unlawful activities like kidnapping, rape and flesh trade. The Committee also requested residents of the locality to inform of any such activity for necessary action.
