Junior Reds up to 4th in U-19 I-League

SHILLONG: The Shillong Lajong junior team moved up one spot to fourth place in the U-19 I-League final round with a 2-1 victory over AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy in Jamshedpur on Sunday.

Nim Dorjee Tamang (16th minute) and Rupert Nongrum (77th) were the scorers for Lajong, while Bidyananda contribute for the Academy (33rd).

SLFC, with six points, will play their next match on April 29 against East Bengal.

In other fixtures, table toppers Tata Football Academy beat Sesa Football Academy 2-1, while East Bengal hammered Hindustan FC 7-0 to move into second position.
