DC warns sellers of fake items

SHILLONG: Taking strong note of the incident of sale of fake detergent powder and other items recently, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal has warned that those indulging in such practices would be strictly dealt with.

Goyal observed that such incidents were more prevalent in rural areas of the State and urged the public and shopkeepers to be more vigilant while dealing with salespersons.

The Deputy Commissioner also urged people to report such incidents immediately.
