KSU opposes setting up of ANVC-B camps in WKH

SHILLONG: In an emergency meeting held on Friday last the KSU West Khasi Hills District unit opposed the proposed setting up of ANVC-B camps in the district by the government.

In a statement issued here on Sunday the KSU WKH unit said setting up of the camps will bring insecurity and fear psychosis in the minds of the people of the area.

The Union also fears that setting up of the camps may give rise to certain unwanted activities in the area.

“We request the government to find some other safer place to set up the camps,” the KSU said.
