WKH: Recovered bones sent for DNA sampling

NONGSTOIN: Bones recovered by a cow-herd from Banglapluh in West Khasi Hills District while tending to his cattle has been sent for DNA sampling as informed by Dr E Wanniang of Riangdo CHC.
The police along with Dr E Wanniang of Riangdo CHC, Shri S Warjri EAC West Khasi Hills District, In- Charge of Riangdo Poutpost Sub Inspector M L Mawlong and H Thabah OC Shallang Police Station inspected the site of the recovery.
Dr E Wanniang told The Shillong Times that the bones recovered were that of a human child. He also informed that the bones were found in an opening of a hillock.  It may be reminded that on December 21, 2013, around 4:30 PM one Aidarishisha Iawphniaw (6) of Banglapluh under Riangdo Police Outpost had gone missing from her house. Since then there had been no trace of her.
Dr E Wanninag said that the recovery of the bones at Banglapluh could be connected to that of the missing child but said that it was too early to speculate anything.
EAC S Warjri said that the results of the findings from the DNA sampling would also be released by Tuesday or Wednesday.
