Two knocked down

On May 12 at around 4 pm, Tata Sumo (ML-05G-4712) driven by one May June Kahti (57) knocked down two pedestrians at Jyllishop, Nongthymmai, Shillong. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Body found

On May 11 at around 12 noon, one unidentified male body was found lying on the road at Buduwatregre jungle (SGH). Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Baghmara for post mortem.

One set ablaze

D. Marwein lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on May 10 at around 9.30 pm, one Painingjohn Nongsiej (21) doused his wife Lina Syiemiingbah (21) with kerosene oil and set her on fire at Nongkhroh village (WKH). Victim sustained burnt injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Nongstoin from where she was referred to Civil Hospital, Shillong. Instead, her relatives took her home for treatment with local herbs. Police arrested the accused.

Assault

On May 10 at around 11 pm, one Satkumar Koch assaulted Soroni Mohan Koch in his house at Selsella (WGH) and also threatened his relatives with dire consequences.

lOn May 9 at around 4 pm, unidentified armed miscreants abducted Md. Mohidur Sheik (28) from Tebronggre village (WGH) and released him on the same day after assaulting him. As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Guwahati for treatment.

lBinolin Papang lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that her husband Heiwathmu Lyngdoh tortured her mentally and physically since 2010 and on March 23, 2014, he created nuisance in her house at Mukhap village (WJH). Further, his brother Marsan Lyngdoh and sister Shanlangki Lyngdoh assaulted and threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
