Troubled singer Justin Bieber has been accused of an attempted robbery by an unnamed woman.
The 20-year-old pop star is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department after his alleged robbery attempt on May 12 at Sherman Oaks Castle Park in LA, said The Hollywood Reporter.
According to reports, the incident took place when a woman with her daughter took photos of Bieber, prompting him to allegedly snatch her phone and scream at the pair, making the girl cry.
“Detectives are currently interviewing the victim. It was reported at 10.30 pm Monday night to our Devonshire location and occurred earlier in the day in the Valley,” Officer Rosario Herrera said.
“As of right now, no arrest has been made and detectives are currently interviewing the victim,” he added. Bieber’s latest run-in with the law comes three weeks after he was detained at LA International Airport on April 24 and questioned by US Customs and Border Patrol officials after returning from Asia, however no formal action was taken and he was released after four hours.
The pop star’s Miami trial for driving under the influence and other charges will begin on July 7. (PTI)
