SHILLONG: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee president, DD Lapang attributed Vincent Pala’s victory from the Shillong seat to the work he has put in for the State.
“People have realized that he (Pala) has worked for the State,” Lapang said while speaking to pressmen here on Friday.
Lapang also said that the party should accept with all humility, Purno Sangma’s victory from the Tura seat.
On Congress’ worst ever defeat in Lok Sabha elections, Lapang said winning and losing were a part of politics.
