SWGH tournament underway

AMPATI: The District level Subroto Cup Football Tournament for South West Garo Hills got underway at Students’ Field, Ampati.
A record number of 53 schools of the district are participating in the categories of U-14 boys, U-17 boys and U-17 girls.
The finals are scheduled to be played on June 2 from 11:00am.
A football coaching camp will also be organised for the second week of June here after the completion of the State Level School Athletic Meet in Shillong.
The camp will be supervised and guided by qualified football coaches, who will be assisted by community coaches of the district.
The coaching camp will be conducted uner the Chief Minister’s District Sports Promotion Society scheme.
