Assault

On May 30 at around 8.30 pm, Nija Mawlieh and Mayborn assaulted one Ksanborlang Pathaw (27) at Polo, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Theft cases

One Sangita Chakraborty lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah police station that on May 30, unknown miscreants stole music system from her car which was parked in her compound at Upper Lachumiere.

lOne Yohi Pyrngap lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on May 20, one Man Suchiang stole Rs 1,000 and vehicle documents from his residence at Lad Sutnga in East Jaitnta Hills . The accused also stole Rs 38,000 from the complainant’s residence at Nongthymmai.

Torture

One Pinky Das lodged a complaint at Tura police station that she was married to one Raja Das on February 12, 2001. However, after some years of their marriage, her husband tortured her physically and mentally. On May 13, her husband and her mother-in-law had lodged a false FIR against her.

Accidents

On May 30 at around 11 pm, one Maruti Alto car driven by Vicky Donald Sangad (21) dashed against a roadside tree at Mawlai As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.

lOn May 29 at around 11.30 am, one Maruti Swift Dezire car driven by Latin M Sangma knocked down one minor girl identified as Sengira M Sangma (8) at Wagok Gabil Daningka, East Garo Hills . Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Rongjeng. After the incident, the driver surrendered himself to Police at Rongmil East Garo Hills.

lOn May 31 at around 5.30 am, one Maruti Alto car driven by Sahin Ahmed (30 ) turned turtle at Mawryngkneng, East Khasi Hills . As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
