Cleaning drive

Meghalaya Eco Friendly Students Union will organize a cleaning drive at Police Bazar point on June 5 at 10 am. Deputy Commissioner, Home Minister and SP City will also be a part of the event.

Camp

A two day diabetes camp was conducted in Shillong by diabetelogist Dr Shirmant Kumar Sahu, Global Hospital, Rajasthan last month at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture, Shillong.

Live telecast

There will be a Live telecast from Doordarshan Kendra Shillong both on satellite and terrestrial mode on June 5 from 3 to 4:30 pm on the occasion of World Environment Day. The programme will include a panel discussion at Pine wood Hotel Banquet Hall on the theme, ‘Raise your voice and Not the Sea Level’ is being organised by the Meghalaya Basin development authority in collaboration with the Forests and Environment department Government of Meghalaya.

Meeting

The Senior citizens, Civil Society Leaders, Peace Committee Members, GSU, FAF, JAC, and All NGOs of  Resubelpara and its adjoining localities, and all who desired Peace and Justice in Garo Hills  assembled at Mini stadium, Resubelpara on June 1 at around 3:00pm and participated in the candle lights service conducted in remembrance of Late Balsan Marak and Late Withson Sangma, the victims of custodial deaths.

Shrine

The Assistant Parish Priest of Mawlai Parish, has invited the members of different Parish for the public inauguration of the Shrine on June 8 at 9:30 am by Fr. George Maliekal, Salensian Provincial which has been rebuilt at Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai Shillong. After the public inauguration there will be a Mass at 10 am followed by the Pilgrimage at 1:30 P.M and the Adoration Blessed of Sacrament will be started at 2pm.

Convention

International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) will be organizing an International Convention on Peace and Social Harmony at Shillong from June 5 to 8. The Convention is being organized with a view to create peace, social harmony and mutual understanding amongst the various communities of the society.

Course

The Diploma in Dairy Technology (DDT) has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
