Singer Jennifer Lopez has dismissed rumours she has started a new romance with “Dancing With The Stars” star Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The “On the Floor” hitmaker reportedly split from her dancer beau Casper Smart earlier this month, and speculation spread this week that Lopez has been quick to move on with Chmerkovskiy, a ballroom dance expert, reports contactmusic.com.
However, Lopez addressed the rumours Thursday after reading a tweet from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania radio station Qburgh, which suggested the singer was dating again.
While preparing for her World Cup launch performance with Pitbull in Brazil, she replied, “No I’m not. #rumors #nottrue”.
When a fan asked her directly if she had moved on from Smart, Lopez replied, “No I’m not. (dating anyone new already).”
Chmerkovskiy previously served as a backup dancer for Lopez during her American Music Awards performance in November, and reports suggested she reconnected with him through her best friend, actress Leah Remini, who was a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars”. (IANS)
