Jawan’s wife alleges harassment

SHILLONG: The wife of an Assam Rifles jawan has alleged harassment by a jawan of the force.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, urged the newly appointed Director General, Lt Gen R K Rana to intervene into the matter.

The woman, alleged that one of the jawans from the 40th unit of Assam Rifles has been harassing her over the past few months.

The woman had sought help from the officers of the 40th unit of the Force but to no avail. Her husband who is currently posted in another state has asked her to remain silent on the matter.
