Guwahati: The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on Tuesday said it has issued a notice for removing illegal encroachment in the Silsako Lake here.

“Any person encroaching Silsako beel is asked to vacate the land and remove any unauthorised structure immediately,” a GMDA release said here on Tuesday.

“Otherwise, such encroachment and unauthorised structure shall be evicted by force as per the provisions of Assam Land Revenue Regulation Act and Guwahati Water-bodies Preservation and Conservation Act,” it added.
