SHILLONG: NPP leader and Tura MP Purno A Sangma, who is camping in Garo Hills, has met the husband and children of Josbina M Sangma, a 35-year-old woman who was brutally hilled by GNLA cadres at Chokpot recently.
According to a statement issued by NPP spokesman James Sangma on Tuesday, the Tura MP on Monday met the husband and children of Josbina at an undisclosed location.
Sangma assured the family of all possible help from his side and urged the officers present to give all necessary support to the family. Sangma also visited Mahendraganj Tuesday and met the family of Surendar Paul (26) who was killed by militants in Ampati on June 8 after he refused to give them a ride in his auto rickshaw.
Earlier, the Tura MP visited Baghmara Hospital where he met some of the injured passengers of the bus which met with an accident on Monday morning.
Sangma also met families of some persons who lost their lives in the accident.
He asked the doctors and nurses to take proper care of the patients and inquired if they had all necessary medication and materials to take care of the injured.
