Programme

Art of living Shillong Chapter will organize a 8 day residential free training program at 3rd mile towards Upper Shillong for the youth of Shillong and adjoining areas from June 28.

Seminar

A one-day seminar on the Sixth Scheduled of the Constitution will held in the Conference Hall of the KHADC MDC Hostel from 11 am onwards.

Condolence

A special condolence meeting was held at Asom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti, Shillong on June 17 to mourn the death of late Khagen Mahanta, renowned Assamese singe and musician, wherein members from Asom Kristi Kendra paid their homage and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Function

Body Found

The body of a man, identified as one Kanak Das was found lying near the shop of Ram Naresh Yadav, Thana Road, Shillong. The body has been forwarded to CH Shillong for Post Mortem examination. Relatives of the deceased are requested to contact O/C Shillong Sadar Police Station or the Police Control Room.

Committee

The Labour Commissioner, Meghalaya has set up the Complaints Committee for Protection of Women against sexual harassment at work places (factories, shops and other commercial establishments).  All complaints of work place harassment can be made to the Labour Commissioner, Shillong, Ph. 0364-223445.
