Programme

The Committee for Legal Aid to the Poor, Odisha in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority organized a three-day training programme for Para Legal Volunteers in Shillong on June 18.

Price Revision

The office of Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin has revised the retail selling price of M/S petrol and HSD diesel to Rs 71.43 and Rs 52.27 per litre, respectively, under the Nongstoin Sadar Sub-Division, in effect from May 13.

Wage revision

The State Government has revised the rate of minimum wages with effect from June 1. The minimum rate per day for unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and highly skilled workers is Rs 160, Rs 170 Rs 180 and Rs 200 respectively.

Inauguration

The Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, East Khasi Hills has informed that the Urlong Tea Integrated Village Cooperative Society Ltd., Mawlyngot, East Khasi Hills District under Mawkynrew C&RD Block will inaugurate the Tea Processing Unit on June 20 at 11:00 am and the newly Rural Tourism Projects on June 26 at 11:00 am.
