MBOSE, NSE collaborate to impart training on financial management

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) in collaboration with the National Stock

Exchange (NSE) of India Limited, Kolkata, under the leadership of A. Jaiswal, Chief Manager, NSE India Limited, had jointly conducted a workshop recently at MBOSE Office, Shillong.

Commerce and Economics Assistant Lecturers participated in the workshop. The need, importance and employment scope of introducing courses in “Financial Market Management” and “Financial Literacy” in schools and the support from NSE was highlighted by the resource persons.

MBOSE in a statement issued here on Tuesday said that these courses would help students to develop employable skills for financial market, offer excellence career prospects, career for life, offer scope to work part-time/full-time and to become entrepreneurs.

Similar programmes were launched by NSE in collaboration with CBSE in 2007 and recently with the Nagaland Board of School Education.

On completion of the course, a joint certificate by MBOSE and National Stock Exchange of India Limited would be issued to the students.

This certificate will also serve as a license for the students to work in the financial market in future.
