Body recovered

On June 26 around 9.30 am, the body of a newborn baby was recovered from a drain at Upper New Colony, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

Surrender

On June 24, Shngain Lamare and Iaidtre Paslein, accused in a murder case surrendered at Saipung PS (EJH).

Theft

On June 23, unknown miscreants broke into the godown of Boyfil Swer at Mawlai Nongkwar, Shillong and stole one drill machine valued around Rs. 14,000. In this connection Police arrested one Bishar Jala (42).

Assault

On June 21, Niwi Lamare assaulted and threatened Memorial Lamare in her shop at Nartiang village (WJH) and took away some groceries. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Theft

Roma Adhikari of Demthring, Shillong lodged a complaint at Nongthymmai Beat House that two of her domestic helpers, Menu Karmakar (18) and a teenager (15), had fled away along with valuable household articles. Police are investigating the matter.
