Civic action prog organised

SHILLONG: BSF deployed in South Garo Hills district organised a civic action programme on June 29 in the border area of Dalu, West Garo Hills to benefit several villages of bordering the area.
More than 700 villagers including Sardar, headman, secretaries of villages Chandaboi, Kishnupara, Jatrakona, Gasuapara, Angratoli and Dumnikora among others attended the Civic Action Programme.
Syntax tanks, sports items, stationeries, school bags, umbrellas, chairs, buckets and others worth more than Rs.4 lakh were distributed during the programme and school children presented a colourful cultural programme.
S K Dogra, Second-in-Command, SHQBSF, Tura handed over the items to the villagers.  Several BSF officials and their families and CRPF Cobra battalion officials were also present on the occasion.
