SHILLONG: An enrollment drive for the Second Phase of Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme is being held from July 3 to 16.
The enrollment drive is part of the strategy to intensify coverage of the Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme for the infirm, widows and disabled.
The drive will begin from July 3 in the selected blocks of Rongram, Dalu, Selsella, Tikkrikilla, Betasing and Zikzak.
During the intensive enrollment drive, a ‘helpdesk’ will be put up in respective selected Project offices. The Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers, Milti purpose workers and community based workers of the Social Welfare department are expected to be in the field on a mission mode for optimum coverage of the scheme in the selected blocks.
A ‘mela’ has also been proposed to be organized at the respective selected sites.
