SHILLONG: Nongkrem came from a goal down to defeat Mawlai 2-1 in a First Division football league match, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, on Thursday.
Wanlang Pde put Mawlai ahead in the seventh minute and it was only in the second half that Nongkrem were able to respond with one goal each from Marbitlang Mawthoh (51st minute) and Shanbok Nongsiej (73rd).
Friday’s encounter will see Pohkseh take on Lawmali Pyllun at 4:00pm.
