SHILLONG: Sitting GHADC Congress MDC from Balachanda constituency West Garo Hills L D Shira died at the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, near Delhi, on Saturday after prolong illness.
Shira is the father of sitting Rajabala MLA Asahel D Shira of Congress.
The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), meanwhile, expressed profound grief and sorrow at the demise of Shira.
